Hydro-Fire Boom has been designed as an
effective fire resistant barrier to prevent the spread of oil and chemical
fires on water. After many years experience with floating fire resistant
technology around the world, Elastec/American Marine developed Hydro-Fire
boom for its superior performance and handling capabilities. This unique
water cooled fire boom represents the leading edge of technology for
fighting oil fires on water. Hydro-Fire Boom can be used to contain foam
used by firefighters to prevent the ignition of flammable materials floating
on the surface. Hydro-Fire Boom® also
prevents the spread of an existing flame, containing it in an area that
can be effectively foamed.
Hydro-Fire
boom is water cooled, the boom's cover remains at ambient water temperature.
It is inflatable for compact storage and ease of deployment.
It is not damaged by fire making it reusable, other firebooms have limited
life.
